Israelis who move to the United States tend to be secular and to have little patience with the Israeli rabbinate and its rigid, unaccommodating rabbis. Those Israeli-Americans who have begun the process of becoming more Americanized — Jewishly speaking — already speak the language of a more pluralistic Judaism.
