In the spring of 2011, while I had previously put up various posts about quotes on my blog, I decided to create a separate website for putting up quotes/excerpts I found interesting and set up a Tumblr page for them. However, in the summer of 2013, I realized that Tumblr was not meeting my needs: primarily, it was not easily searchable, which was a big piece of my putting these quotes/excerpts on the Internet – I wanted to be able to search for them. So, I moved my quotes over to WordPress, setting up a different website for them.
Finally, in the spring of 2014, I decided that the time was right to create my own separate domain for the website of quotes (and include advertising), thus Excerpted.info was created.
